Biodiversity & livelihoods: some materials and links from Sweden

Many people and organisations in Sweden work in different ways with biodiversity-livelihood issues from an international perspective. SwedBio often comes across material and information that we wish to share and make available. This includes:

1. SwedBio-produced materials

Materials and reports from SwedBio include:

  • Planning documents and reports. (click here)
  • Workshop report from consultation on "The role of biodiversity for ecosystem services and products, and its importance for poor people and local livelihoods in developing countries - priorities for the future". This report include concept papers from a number of experts world-wide and provided the basis for the development of SwedBio´s present programme. Printed copies cen be obtained from SwedBio. 2. Web-based newsletter

  • Sustainable Development Update (SDU) focuses on spreading the latest information and research results on the links between ecology, society and the economy. It is produced by the non-profit organisation. Albaeco in cooperation with the Centre for Transdisciplinary Environmental Research (CTM) and the Department of Systems Ecology, both at Stockholm University; the Beijer International Institute of Ecological Economics; the Resilience Alliance; and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). SDU is produced with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
